Our Fabrics

Our vision is to offer fabrics which are durable, comfortable, fun, and have been produced as ethically as possible. In our first range we used ready made fabrics which were commercially available, while we were sampling and testing our product.

Our real passion is to create our own fabrics, with our own designs. The first of these is our newly released koala print. This has been co-designed by Robyn and designer Red Chocolate Illustrations. We have worked with a screen printing company in Bali to perfect it and get it on to 100% cotton fabric. The aim for future patterns is that they will be designed exclusively by Robyn and we would like to source an organic cotton, and investigate other more sustainable fabric options.

The production of fabric in Bali begins by sending our design to the screen printer. They then work with us to get the correct sizing and colours. Each colour requires its own screen, so we try to work with three to four colours. It is a traditional screen printing process, where the design is constructed through the layers of colour. It involves skilled hands and is quite a lengthy process- from making the screens, perfecting the colours, printing, conditioning, washing and drying the fabric. We love to be using traditional artisans in Bali, helping to support the local artists and businesses, and having an end product that is truly unique.

Over time we plan to further develop our range of unique, playful, colourful designs. As always we would love your feedback on designs you would be interested in. Watch this space!
